This is a quote we carried with us on our adoption journey and what truth we found in it. Adoption, like the Gospel, is filled with deep, rich beauty; however it's not without the sharp pain of loss. After 8 months of actively waiting, we were contacted by our baby girl's birth mom. Two weeks later, we were off to Louisiana where we would meet our daughter very soon. In the days around her birth, we were able to spend some sweet time with her birth mom and confirm for everyone involved how deeply, deeply loved this little life was. Through a great work in our hearts, we will have an open adoption with her birth mom. Our precious Izzie will know her story and the depth of the love of the Father that has been writing it all along. We're forever thankful for the blessing He has given us and the gift her first mama gave us to become her parents. All the glory to Him. -Anna Beth and Bo Parker.
